Canterbury Cathedral's Christmas Card
A beautiful day in May was the setting to gain inspiration for this year’s Christmas Card for Canterbury Cathedral.
The brief was to create a contemporary illustration of the Cathedral’s Architecture.
They already sell two beautiful designs of the whole building in their shop so I wanted to try a different approach.
Walking around there was an image on the scaffolding (below) of the Choir and I loved the detail of Architecture behind.
Finding out later this was called The Cloisters.
The Cloisters remind me of an outside Courtyard
Anyone else imagine a Quidditch game here?
So that was the design idea, the Cloisters in a snowy scene with the Choir singing angelically in front.
